RULES


Knowledge of these rules is the responsibility of each contestant.

  1. Rules: The following rules for the tournament will be interpreted solely by the tournament director.

  2. Eligibility: 18 years of age and older, who have paid the appropriate entry fee. Persons under 18 may fish with parent or legal               guardian. Winter Bass Brawl reserves the right to refuse/reject any entry that is not in the best interest of the tournament.

  3. All Department of Conservation and Water Patrol rules apply.

  4. Only Largemouth, Kentucky, and Small Mouth will be weighed. Five (5) fish per team. All fish will measure at least 13inches                  on Pomme De Terre Lake and 15 inches on Stockton Lake on Golden Rule. Any iced or mangled fish presented at weigh-in
    will result in disqualification.

  5. There will be a 1 pound penalty per dead fish. Penalty will be deducted from total weight.

  6. Short fish will result in loss of entire weight and disqualification as well as all points for the day. Measure fish with mouth closed            and pinch tail.

  7. Any boat late for weigh-in will be disqualified. Chip must be turned in to the weigh-in table by 3:00 p.m.

  8. Protest will be made in written form within 10 minutes of conclusion of weigh-in.

  9. All ties will be broken by earliest entry.

  10. Big Bass: Two (2) Big Bass places will be paid. It will be a 60/40 Split

  11. Paybacks: Will pay one (1) place for every five (5) teams in regular tournaments. Fish-off payback is (1) place for every (10)                 Boats.    

  12. Polygraph: All contestants, by signing the entry form, consent to receive a voice stress or polygraph. Anyone who fails the                     test will be immediately disqualified.

  13. Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial lures and pork style baits are allowed. No live bait. No trolling. No Strolling. All bass                      must be caught on rod and reel. Each contestant can only use one rod and reel at a time.

  14. No trailering of boat at any time during tournament hours. (Changes due to extreme weather will be made by directors).

  15. Life jackets must be worn when boat is on plane.

  16. No fishing within 50 yards of any gas pump or within 50 yards of another contestant’s boat at anchor. No fishing inside wave                barriers at state park or no wake area at light house park.

  17. No refunds .

  18. Departure will be in the sequence in which entries are received.

  19. $50.00 membership to qualify for 2 day fish off, must fish 4 tournaments to make fish off. Must fish 2 on Stockton and 2 on       Pomme.
  20. $50.00 entry fee for the two day Classic Fish-Off (100% payback) . Optional $20.00 big bass entry pays one big bass on Saturday,and one big bass on Sunday.

21. Classic will be held one day on Stockton State Park Marina and one day on Pomme De Terre Hermitage State Park.  Weights                 will be combined for two day total.

  22. Classic Fish-Off will pay one big bass each day; one for Stockton and one for Pomme.

  23. Points will be awarded to registered teams. 100 for 1st, 99 for 2nd, 98 for 3rd etc... 25 show up points if no fish weighed. Total weight for the event will be added to the points as well as 10 points for 1st big bass and 5 points for 2nd big bass.

  24. All tournaments will be used for points.

  25. No culling inside take-off area, must be done prior to coming in. Only 5 fish in the livewell at anytime.

  26. Alternates may be used up to three times but not in the fish off.
